Originally a modest 1960s dwelling, the house had already undergone a transformation into a split-level layout, creating a four-bedroom space. Haag's task was to build upon this foundation, pushing the boundaries while staying true to the clients' vision and their rich collection of pieces.
One of the key aspects of Haag's design was the thoughtful reconfiguration of underutilized spaces. The whisky room, for instance, was given a new lease of life with patterned wallpaper, soft textiles, and an intimate color palette, creating a cozy and purposeful retreat. Similarly, a dark pantry was transformed into a bright and inviting bar area with the addition of a skylight, and a children's playroom became a functional gym.
The living room stands out as a testament to Haag's skill in creating a cohesive yet surprising space.
